Summer goals

  1. Work on a consistent work schedule.
  2. Pay off certain dues (laptop), save for my first L lens.
  3. Re-branding of what I've put on hold (Stay Classy).
  4. Summer cleaning and get rid of the non-necessities.
  5. Do more of what I love- blog more and photograph more.
  6. Have more adventures.

Everything in moderation, slowly, steady as she goes.

This has been my favorite picture of us, in a long time, mainly because my iPhone has been my go-to photo-taking device, but could never come up to par with my neglected DSLR. I'm not into big bags, so carrying and transporting my baby safely is a challenge.

I was supposed to move up to Vegas with Dustin in the beginning of the year, but plans changed when unforeseeable opportunities arose that I just couldn't pass up. He came for a mini vacation for some family events that took place the past few weeks, and now he's back in Vegas. I will miss him and I can't let my emotions get the best of me, but long distance is tough and hopefully I can be counting down the days when I can take a vacation there and do what I love to do (travel) - road trip!, but for now it's time for me to get everything settled back in and to re-prioritize.

For one thing, my MacBook Pro took a toll on me which means more bills to pay because I replaced it with an 11" MacBook Air - my current get by that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. Hands down I'm all in for Mac, ever since grade school because I grew up with it and fell in love with it. Being one constantly on the go nowadays, I realized how much I depend on a portable computer. I will be extra careful with this one, not that I was at all careless with my last one. Being without a MacBook for a few weeks, created more back work that usual... I dedicate the next few weeks of school for cramming and catching up. Wish me luck.

Next comes summer, which will probably mean to rack more hours at work so that I can save for a trip to the mainland. I will surely take at least one this year. Ideally I want to go in the winter, because I'm usually travelling in the summer, so I just want to embrace all things winter - from clothing to fashion - but summer is when everything is cheaper. Torn.

Then Fall 2012 semester, the upper-level classes I'll be taking next semester means less work hours at my current job. I have to improvise on how I'll make money, since I really will only get to work at least once a week, on Friday, and that's not enough.

I have other projects that have been keeping myself occupied lately, which is why I've been on hiatus with blogging for the past few months. I don't know where I'm going, but I know that I'll get there - everything in moderation, slowly, steady as she goes.

I lust for overabundance

Not the best thing to lust about, but not the worst either. "Lust" may not even be the word I'm looking for, per say, but it isn't completely a different story. I have been off the blogosphere in general (tumblr and blogspot) ever since instagram and Facebook came/came back into my life. I hope to be updating soon, because I finally have some interesting things to post online.

Christmas party 2011

Today was our annual Christmas party at my work place, and twas even more festive this year than last. We also celebrated 20 year anniversaries for some of the employees who've been working here for that long, and that included my dad. Go dad! I can't believe it's been a little over three years for me to be a part of the facility. (Where has all the time gone?)

Instagram!

I haven't been blogging lately, on blogger or tumblr, for many reasons. Besides school and my regular job, I got another job as well as an internship for DisFunkshion Mag which ended last month, and another job at La Tour Cafe which is about to end also because of my move to the mainland. About six months ago, I wanted to work on my resume so that I did. It's a shame that I could have had more months as experience but the decision to move came when I least expected it.

Besides all of that, I also got a new phone, an iPhone, so I've been on instagram lately. Sorry for those who don't have it (momentarily) but for those who do, please feel free to follow me. My username is jusebox. :)

3rd annual Christmas trolley ride

Tis the season to be jolly and for Christmas festivities, so on Saturday night, I accompanied my boyfriend, his family and family-friends, on their annual Christmas trolley ride. It was a 30 minute ride around the streets of Honolulu to see the bright visuals of lights around town. It's a shame we sat on the wrong side of the trolley so I couldn't get pretty pictures.

Wants list

I've been trying to condense my bookmarks list full of random links I tend to neglect to keep up with. I started off with a simple Christmas list, but then things to out of hand when I realized my Christmas list is far from practical. So I compiled up a list of wants aka my wants list.

Naked 2 palette ($50) - I never got around to splurging on the first palette, and when I found the second palette was out, I realized I was glad I didn't get it. I like the exterior of this palette; its packaging sold me out, because yes, packaging is everything in this new day and age.

Clarins Pro Palette Eyebrow Kit ($35) Until there's a miracle for eyebrow growth or any fix up to par, a girl like me can never have too many eyebrow products!

Olympus Pen E-PM1 ($450) - I've always wanted micro 4/3s camera but I haven't been much into photography lately. Being without a desktop is a big change, and a big reason of why I lack the motivation to engage into my hobby. However, I always had and always will have a fetish for cameras. I'm currently in a white phase, so I'm loving white! My macbook pro's hard shell case is white, my iPad 2 is white, and the newest piece in my collection is my white iPhone 4s. I might as well finish it off with everything white that's for me to hold in my hands.

Specks Candyshell for iPhone 4s ($35) - Protection is necessary for a gem like my iPhone, and with this case I would get to utilize its LED flash that I've not gotten to love because of my current cases that hinder its capabilities.

Manfrotto Pro Tripod Legs ($180) and Manfrotto Joystick Head ($125) - A complete tripod may be necessary and easier to find than a companion to take pictures with. It would sit, stand, and stay whenever I please. I need me something sturdy like this for the sake of my camera.

Other things I want: 1-3 terabyte external hard drive (pocket-sized, miniature, and skinny), lenses, Canon 5d mk ii, and a 27" iMac. I am a tech-junky, tyvm.

I hope that you're all having a great holiday season. Also, sorry for the lack of posts (but you should already know that by now).
